Recurrent shipper

Target audience

This recurrent training is aimed towards shippers who need to prepare shipments of dangerous goods for marine transport.
The basic training (IMO-E) is required to attend to this training.

Goal

After attending this training, the participant will be qualified to prepare shipments containing dangerous goods intended
to be transported by sea, according to the international and national requirements.

Training description

During this training, the participant will revise and update the knowledge of the applicable Act and Regulations regarding
transportation of dangerous goods by sea in Canada. Here are the key topics that will be covered:

• Act and Regulations revision and updates
• Classification system and criteria
• Packaging requirements
• Marking and labelling
• Shipping documents
• Exemptions
